I am a graduate student in nuclear engineering and during my undergrad I took an introduction to nuclear physics course that used Krane's book. Honestly, nothing from the book really helped to improve my knowledge in nuclear engineering other than providing more a detailed background of the nuclear shell model and a better understanding of nuclear resonances.
